Hullo there!

I'm Anastasia Elektra, the goblin collecting shiny things and pretty rocks to make Elektra's Curiosities. I studied folklore and religion in college, and have worked in animal welfare since 2014. When I'm not busy herding cats or crafting, I'm exploring beaches and ghost towns with my pals, or taking my own beloved cats for an evening stroll.

I found my artistic muse at the beginning of 2023, after briefly working at a cemetery, where I began pressing and drying flowers that were thrown out after cremation services to make framed arrangements with some scavenged snake vertebrae. One of my animal rescue friends, the artist behind Ratical Resurrections, was hugely supportive of me following my whims. She gave me a big ol' bag of bones from animals that had to be humanely euthanized, and encouraged me to continue making art. I found my happy place, making these little haunted-looking windchimes and suncatchers, with materials like recycled glass, polished stone, dyed bones, wood, and copper bells.  Did you know bells were first used spiritually, to ward off evil and summon rain in periods of drought? In many spiritual and religious traditions, bells and chimes are used as symbols of awakening, mindfulness, and connecting with the divine. I just think that is so cool.

Anyway, these are my assistants, Parker and Link. Their job is Quality Control- they inspect my materials and the finished products.
